proud mama moment I forgot to share
on Sunday we watched Indiana Jones (yes now after viewing it with "mom eyes" I may have made a different choice) and after about five minutes, Jack proclaims, "Hey that's Han Solo! I knew I recognized that voice from somewhere!" :)

verbal snippets of lake avalon
days 1 and 2 were covered in my other post :D
i had great intentions of covering other days in the same manner (typing while up north) but i got too caught up in relaxing and enjoying the present to type. so instead you are going to get what i can remember.....
we spent time.....
**looking at shipwrecks on the shipwreck tour
**saw 8 tall ships during the shipwreck tour
**walking with grandma and grandpa dan
**eating ice cream from lickety split
**eating meals at john a lau saloon (mmmmmmmmmm)
**being in awe of draw bridges
**swimming swimming swimming
**canoeing
**tipping over the canoe while grandpa, mom, luke and jack are in it--but jack saved his breakfast!
**reading
**playing games (phase 10, uno and pokemon)
**drinking coffee on the deck
**enjoying HOT HOT HOT weather (did i mention HOT)
**making dinners and eating on the deck
**fishing
in the end we came home a few days early due to 1. jack and i were slightly bored (guess i learned something about us as vacationers) and 2. it was really hot and no relief!
on the way home we stopped for red lobster (mmmmm), wandered through dick's sporting goods (great deal on cleats for jack) and got a few toys for maxie from petsmart :D
brian (neighbor) took great care of the house and we were glad to be home. mom and dad were also glad to be back at their home--all of us were grateful for air conditioning :D it was a lovely time to spend together.
